Spotlight on Switzerland: Institut für Logosynthese Schweiz

The Institut für Logosynthese Schweiz has become an important center for the development, training, and professional application of Logosynthesis in Switzerland and internationally.

Located in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, the institute offers a wide range of seminars, professional trainings, and advanced education programs for professionals in psychotherapy, counselling, coaching, education, and healthcare. Founded by Willem Lammers in 2007 and now led by Dr. Suzanne von Blumenthal, the institute combines clinical expertise, personal development, and applied Logosynthesis practice in a highly integrated way.

What stands out immediately is the breadth of their offerings. The institute provides:

  • Practitioner and Master Practitioner training in Logosynthesis
  • Introductory workshops for personal growth and self-coaching
  • Specialized seminars connecting Logosynthesis with psychotherapy, psychology, stress, trauma, communication, ADHD, burnout, anxiety, and more
  • A three-year diploma program in psychosocial counselling
  • Recognized psychotherapy training programs for psychiatrists and psychotherapists in Switzerland

Another strength of the institute is its commitment to collaboration and ongoing development of Logosynthesis. The institute supports research initiatives, contributes to professional conferences, and co-organizes the annual International Logosynthesis Conference. Their approach reflects an important direction within the Logosynthesis community: creating bridges between personal transformation, professional excellence, and evidence-informed practice.

For professionals interested in expanding their work with Logosynthesis or individuals wanting to experience the model for personal growth, the Institut für Logosynthese Schweiz website is well worth exploring.

In the Field – Presentations & Research Highlights

We are pleased to share that LIA members Karla Dawe and Cathy Caswell recently presented a pre-conference workshop at the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association National Conference in Halifax, Canada.

The workshop, Integrating Logosynthesis® into Personal Development and Professional Practice, was very well received and introduced participants to the basic principles and practical application of Logosynthesis® within the counselling and psychotherapy professions.

We are also excited to share that Cathy Caswell is collaborating with a research team at Acadia University in a study exploring the application of the Logosynthesis Basic Procedure for stress management. The study has received Research Ethics Board (REB) approval and will involve students entering the Master of Education (Counselling) program beginning in July.

These developments reflect the growing interest in integrating Logosynthesis® into professional education, counselling practice, and wellbeing initiatives.

Specialist Seminar: Understanding and Managing ADHD with Logosynthesis

The Institut für Logosynthese Schweiz recently offered a specialist seminar for therapists, counsellors, and coaches focusing on the application of Logosynthesis® in working with ADHD.

The seminar provided an in-depth overview of ADHD in adolescents and adults, along with practical approaches for using Logosynthesis® to support self-regulation, focus, and self-acceptance in both individual and group settings. Participants also explored how Logosynthesis can be used as a self-coaching tool for professionals and as a structuring approach for group work.

Key areas included understanding common ADHD patterns such as sensory sensitivity, impulsivity, and self-esteem challenges, as well as developing practical group coaching and therapy formats.

A second seminar offering is planned for November 2026 in Bad Ragaz for professionals working with ADHD who wish to expand their therapeutic and coaching repertoire.

A special thanks to Christel Sander for her service to LIA

We sincerely thank Christel Sander for her great commitment and valuable support over the past year and a half. With her inspiring way, she addressed important topics, brought in new impulses and was a real enrichment for the Board of Directors.

Welcome Pia Wittman and Claus Munk to the LIA Board of Directors

Join us in warmly welcoming Pia and Claus and wishing them much joy and every success in carrying out their responsibilities. To help you get to know them, a brief bio follows.

Pia Wittman
Director of Digital Transformation

My name is Pia Wittmann. My professional background is in information and knowledge management, digital transformation, business analysis, adult education, as well as systemic coaching and mentoring. For more than 25 years, I have worked at the intersection of people, information and technology, helping organisations create clarity in complex environments.

I first encountered Logosynthesis while grieving the loss of my father. Through this experience, I discovered first-hand how Logosynthesis could support meaningful change where nothing I had tried before seemed to reach. This sparked a lasting interest in Logosynthesis and led me to complete the three-year Logosynthesis Diploma Programme in Psychosocial Counselling. Since then, I have completed the Instructor training and am currently continuing my learning journey towards Master Practitioner level.

Today, I am building my independent practice, combining consulting, mentoring and psychosocial counselling, with a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent people. I also support the Logosynthese Institute in Bad Ragaz in the areas of website development, digital communication and marketing. I am committed to helping more people discover Logosynthesis and to strengthening the structures and connections that support our community.

As Director of Digital Transformation, I am excited to support the continued development of the LIA’s digital infrastructure and services. My focus is not on technology for its own sake, but on creating simple, accessible and meaningful digital solutions that support learning, collaboration and connection within our international community.

I look forward to contributing my experience and working together with colleagues, members and the wider Logosynthesis community to strengthen the foundations that allow the work of Logosynthesis to reach and support more people around the world.

Claus Munk

Director of Certification

My name is Claus Munk and I live in Switzerland. I am a certified psychosocial counsellor in Logosynthesis and support people on their journey towards greater presence, self-awareness and inner freedom.

My professional background is in sales, business development, customer service and international collaboration. For many years, I have worked at the intersection of people, organisations and processes, where building trust, creating clarity and bringing reliable structures to life have always been essential.

I encountered Logosynthesis during a personally and physically challenging period in my life. It became a powerful path of inner clarity and development. Logosynthesis opened and deeply shaped my personal and spiritual journey, guiding me from a primarily mental understanding towards the heart, deeper feeling and a new sense of presence.

As Director of Certification, I look forward to helping make certification within LIA a clear, respectful and reliable framework that supports quality, development and trust in our international community.

Mi chiamo Claus Munk e vivo in Svizzera.
